Although Jim was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 1950, he decided to enter business and founded Big Chief, Inc. in 1962. His athletic career continued beyond the University of Kentucky as he excelled to become a nationally ranked amateur tennis player. Jim and his wife, Marge, have been happily married for 76 years and reside together in Cincinnati, Ohio.
